This was better than "Clueless," but it was very plain. I honestly don't think that you put very much time and thought into your songs. You should try harder.

Spurta responds:

I'm working on that, actually.
Currently in the process of creating another track, and I'll be honest with you; it only took about two hours to make this.

The next song will have more time spent on it, without a doubt, I'm actually still trying to make certain sounds fit with the piano I've got going, chord changes, etc.

Thanks for the feedback, and I'll keep all of it in mind.

Keep rockin',
Spurta

Very nice song, but I still believe that there could be a few things you could touch up on. First of all, you have a lot of silent beats. When making music, silence can be an extremely powerful tool. If utilized correctly, it can dramatically increase the feeling and the quality of the song. I believe that you could have added a chord into the silent beat in the piano melody. When the piano was playing solo, the silent beat began to make the melody slightly boring. Also, there was no climax in the song. You had an exquisite melody, apart from the silent beat in the piano. You could have added in a super saw, and an arpeggio to make a wonderful climax. Now about the drums. You could have boosted the low frequencies to create a thicker kick and snare. Because they were both kept in the high frequencies, the percussion had a minimum effect on the identity of the song. I believe that the bass line at 0:12 was very fitting with the song, and a well done flanger effect on it. I do like how you mixed the track together, except for the fact that I felt that the song had no climax. The piano has a nice tune, I do think that the melody could have been more complex though. Those are just a few things you could have touched up on. Overall, a very nice song. I have more good things to say about it than bad. I think 2016 will be a superior year for you. Good luck for during the new year!

Spurta responds:

Thank you very much for the feedback, man!

I know I definitely could've done more with this song, and I'll make sure to do things about that in the future.

I'm currently using Ignite for these things, so until I figure out how to get the MIDI board working with FL, it's what I'll be using.

Damn son, that's amazing for a first try!

jonswe responds:

Thanks!

Honestly, this doesn't sound anything like war and all the strings sound like presets. I am not impressed. I would have scouted you, but I don't think you are deserving of the audio portal.

NiborBobbin responds:

Dear applesnitch,

Interestingly all the instruments are presets because they are apart of an orchestral VST. These comments seem familiar to something I would post to others in reviews which suggests to me that this review is nothing more than lash back for the reviews I have been making for others.

What may make this song sound like "preset strings" as you put it is the fact that it is sustained strings. Maybe I should have used up bows or down bows. What do you think?

The song does not sound like war? Thats OK and I am happy to have the feedback. Please explain to me what you would change and what would make this better?

Many thanks for the non helpful feedback. When I leave feedback I may be critical but at least I provide feedback for improvement and suggest how to adjust the track. This place is for getting music reviewed and rated, not to be praised by everyone.

Noice! First Comment!

Lockyn responds:

thanks <3

So I couldn't hear this song on YouTube, so I went directly to the source and found the song! I also scouted you! Downloads should now be enabled for your songs! I feel privileged to be able to scout someone as popular as you are on Newgrounds! Keep doing what you're doing!

Flozo88 responds:

Thanks so much. Your music is amazing and I wish I could make such great music like you... :)

Nice job! I really like the bass in the drop! This song is really good, the only thing I would change would be that you use the same downlifter multiple times. I would try to change that for some unique downlifters! Overall, amazing job!

KamillasRainbow responds:

Thank you! :)

Cool! First Comment!

DetiousMusic responds:

:D Thanks!

Wow! That intro was really great! I love how the melody seems to flow perfectly! The mastering is spot on! I am truly amazed!

CBSTSecretDevil responds:

Omg.....Thanks for following and coment (?) very much!!!

Seriously man, thanks for doing this! I can now loop this and listen to it for a while without SoundCloud playing something else. Gotta love dat bass!

DarkBlueFX responds:

I'm glad you like it! I made that bass from scratch in Massive and I use that in just about every song I make now with a few tweaks.

Lots of my old music is on this account. Check it out if you want I don't make it anymore.
